EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE I'VE EVER DONE IN MY CAREER, AND I'VE PROBABLY DONE AT LEAST A DOZEN. THEY ALWAYS COME BACK AND RECOMMEND PLACING YOUR EMPLOYEES AT THE 50TH PERCENTILE. AND THE REASON THEY SAY THAT IS BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT YOUR EMPLOYER TO BE THE HIGHEST PAID, NOR DO THEY WANT YOU TO BE THE LOWEST PAID. WHEN I WENT BACK AND LOOKED AT THAT 50TH PERCENTILE, BASED ON THE 15 SURVEYS THAT WERE SUBMITTED, THOSE THOSE OTHER ENTITIES ARE COMPARING US TO OUR COASTAL. AND THEY'VE BEEN SOME OF THEM HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS. SO TO JUMP TO THAT 50 PERCENTILE I DIDN'T FEEL WAS WHERE WE SHOULD BE. YET GIVEN HOW NEW WE ARE AND GIVEN OUR STRUCTURE. SO THEN I LOOKED AT THE 25 PERCENTILE TO SEE WHAT WHAT THAT WOULD DO, BECAUSE THE 50 PERCENTILE WOULD BE ALMOST A $300,000 IMPACT TO OUR BOTTOM LINE WITHOUT BENEFITS. THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE TO DO IT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME TO CALL THAT AN EMOTIONAL DECISION. BUT HE WAS THERE TO BE ABLE TO FIND THAT PROBLEM, TO STEER THAT PERSON IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED.
