MOVE ON TO THE PROCLAMATIONS AND AWARDS SPECIAL PRESENTATION BY THE FLORIDA COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER. PRESENTATION. GOOD EVENING, COUNCIL MEMBERS. IT'S SUCH AN HONOR TO BE WITH YOU ON THIS EVENING. I HAVE THE HONOR. I'M DOCTOR WILHELMINA LEWIS, AND I HAVE THE HONOR OF SERVING AS THE PRESIDENT AND CEO OF FLORIDA COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS. WITH ME, I HAVE OUR INDIAN TOWN CENTER ADMINISTRATOR, MISS TRACY THOMAS. AND I'M SURE EVERYONE IN THE ROOM KNOWS OUR CLINICAL ADMINISTRATOR, DOCTOR TAMMY TUKOL. IT IS JUST A PLEASURE TO BE ABLE TO COME BACK AND BE WITH YOU AGAIN. THE LAST TIME I PERSONALLY PRESENTED TO THE VILLAGE COUNCIL WAS WHEN WE WERE IN THE PROCESS OF ACTUALLY DOING A REFRESH AND RENOVATION OF OUR LOCATION ON WARFIELD, WHICH WE HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE 1976. THANKFULLY, AT A LOT OF THE BEHEST OF MISS ETHEL WATERS, WHOSE FAMILY LINEAGE IS STILL PRESENT IN INDIAN TOWN TO TODAY. WE WANTED TO COME AND DO A BRIEF UPDATE ABOUT THE SERVICES THAT WE PROVIDE, BECAUSE WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT AS INDIAN TOWN GROWS, FLORIDA COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS CONTINUES TO BE A PART OF MEETING THE HEALTH CARE NEEDS IN INDIAN TOWN. AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SLIDE. IF YOU ACTUALLY WOULD ADVANCE IT. THIS IS A PART OF THE STAFF THAT SERVES THE COMMUNITY. YOU CAN GO AHEAD TO THE NEXT SLIDE. IN INDIAN TOWN WE SERVE ABOUT. AND THIS IS THE NUMBERS FOR OUR ORGANIZATION IN GENERAL. BUT WE SERVE ABOUT 5500 OF THE RESIDENTS OF INDIAN TOWN. SO A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THE RESIDENTS OF INDIAN TOWN, WE PROVIDE ADULT CARE, PEDIATRIC CARE, DENTAL CARE AND OBSTETRICAL SERVICES. WE PROVIDE PRENATAL CARE, WHICH I KNOW IS A VERY MAJOR TOPIC AND WAS NOT ORIGINALLY A PART OF OUR PLAN TO DISCUSS, BUT WE ARE HAPPY TO TOUCH ON THAT, BECAUSE THE CHANGES THAT HAVE HAPPENED IN MARTIN COUNTY SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT THE PATIENTS THAT WE SERVE. AGAIN, ABOUT 5500 PATIENTS, INDIVIDUALS FROM INDIAN TOWN RECEIVE CARE FROM US. ABOUT 65% OF OUR PATIENTS IN INDIAN TOWN ARE PEDIATRIC PATIENTS. WE HAVE ABOUT WE DO ABOUT 1100 PRENATAL VISITS A YEAR, AND THAT'S ABOUT 100 AND I THINK 175, 140 PREGNANT WOMEN THAT WE TAKE CARE OF FROM INDIAN TOWN. THE BULK OF DELIVERIES AT MARTIN NORTH ARE ACTUALLY

FLORIDA COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER PATIENTS FROM MARTIN COUNTY. SO WE WILL WE WILL AND ARE ALREADY SEEING THE IMPACT OF THAT CHANGE. ON THE PATIENTS THAT WE SERVE FROM INDIAN TOWN, AS NOW WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO LOCATE ANOTHER PLACE WHERE THESE PATIENTS WILL BE ABLE TO DELIVER. AND WE'RE ALREADY FACING SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES WITH FINDING PLACES WHERE WE CAN SCHEDULE INDUCTIONS FOR THEM IF THEY NEED TO BE INDUCED OR IF THEY NEED TO HAVE A C-SECTION.

OBVIOUSLY, SOMETHING THAT THE THAT WE'LL NEED TO PARTNER WITH, BOTH FROM THE VILLAGE COUNCIL PERSPECTIVE AS WELL AS THE HEALTH CARE PERSPECTIVE, IS HOW DO WE ADDRESS THIS CHALLENGE IN A WAY THAT IS GOING TO CREATE THE BEST CARE AND SAFETY FOR THE RESIDENTS WHO ARE PREGNANT AND THEN WILL HAVE TO DELIVER? AND AGAIN, I DIDN'T COME WITH THAT AS THE PRIMARY AGENDA ITEM. BUT I DO THINK IT'S IMPORTANT THAT WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THAT IS A PRESSING CHALLENGE. AND TO TALK WITH YOU AGAIN ABOUT THE FUTURE OF HEALTH CARE FOR INDIAN TOWN, HOW WE CAN BE A PART OF THAT.

AND NOW, WITH RECENT CHANGES, HOW WE BEGIN TO WORK TOGETHER TO ADDRESS THE CHALLENGE SPECIFICALLY RELATED TO HOW WE'LL KEEP WOMEN AND BABIES SAFER IN IN INDIAN TOWN AND MARTIN COUNTY IN THE IN THE DAYS TO COME. SO THOSE ARE COMMENTS THAT I HAVE. I'M GLAD TO TAKE ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE, ALONG WITH DOCTOR TUKEL AND TRACY, WHO ARE KIND OF SHY, AND DOCTOR TUKEL. I HAD TO DRAG HER UP, BUT SHE'LL SHE'LL COME UP CLOSER AND WE'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE. DOCTOR, IT'S NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN. I ASKED YOU THIS QUESTION PREVIOUSLY. NOW, THAT INDIAN TOWN IS GROWING, AND WE'RE HAVING BUSINESSES THAT ARE GOING TO BE RUNNING 24 OVER SEVEN. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING IN THE WORKS FOR BEING AVAILABLE OR OPEN OR EVEN THE SPORTS TEAM? SO IF THEY'RE PLAYING OUTSIDE AND THEY GET HURT, CAN THEY COME TO THE CLINIC AFTER HOURS OR WHAT WILL BE THE HOURS? AT THIS POINT IN TIME, WE'VE ACTUALLY PURSUED AND SUBMITTED GRANT FUNDING TO HELP SUPPORT A POTENTIAL EXTENSION OF HOURS, SO THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO BE OPEN LATER AT NIGHTS OR ON THE WEEKENDS. WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FEEDBACK YET IN TERMS OF WHETHER OR NOT THAT FUNDING HAS BEEN APPROVED, BUT THAT WOULD BE A LARGE PART OF WHETHER OR NOT WE'RE ABLE TO EXTEND THOSE SERVICES. FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT AWARE, WE ARE A FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER, WHICH MEANS THAT OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE COST EFFECTIVE, ACCESSIBLE CARE TO ALL PERSONS IN THE COMMUNITY. SO WHETHER A PERSON HAS INSURANCE OR NOT, WHETHER THEY HAVE FUNDS OR NOT, THEY'RE WELCOME. AND WE MAKE SURE THAT THEY RECEIVE THE HIGHEST QUALITY CARE THAT WE'RE ABLE TO PROVIDE. BUT OF COURSE, THAT MEANS THAT THERE ARE SOME CONSTRAINTS. WE ARE ESSENTIALLY WITH GRANT FUNDING, SUBSIDIZING THE CARE THAT WE PROVIDE TO OUR PATIENTS WHO DON'T HAVE INSURANCE OR RESOURCES, SO THAT UTILIZING THEIR HOUSEHOLD INCOME AND THEIR FAMILY SIZE, WE CAN PROVIDE SIGNIFICANTLY DISCOUNTED SERVICES. SO SOMEONE COULD SEE DOCTOR TUKEL AT OUR LOCATION AND ALSO RECEIVE SOME LABS HAVE A NUMBER OF LABS DRAWN, OTHER SERVICES PROVIDED, AND THEY MIGHT ONLY BE CHARGED $25. SO WHEN WE'RE THINKING AND WE DON'T TURN ANYONE AWAY FOR AN INABILITY TO PAY. AND BY THAT I MEAN IF YOU'RE TALKING URGENT CARE OR ER, THEN THE MORE EXPENSIVE THOSE SERVICES, THOSE SERVICES ARE GOING TO BE, THE MORE EXPENSIVE IS GOING TO BE TO THE, THE RECIPIENT. AND SO A PART OF US BEING A PRIMARY CARE. AND THE ADVANTAGE OF THAT IS, IS THAT OUR COSTS ARE GOING TO BE LOWER AND THE CHARGES ARE GOING TO BE LOWER. AND AGAIN, AS WE THINK ABOUT WHAT IS THE POPULATION AND THE PEOPLE THAT NEED TO BE SERVED, AND WILL THEY BE ABLE TO ACCESS WHATEVER SERVICES ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO THEM WITHOUT FEAR OF EITHER NOT BEING ABLE TO ACCESS THAT SERVICE BECAUSE OF THE COST, OR ONCE THEY HAVE ACCESS TO THE SERVICE BECAUSE OF THE NEED, WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM FINANCIALLY AS A RESULT OF THAT? THOSE ARE. SO WHILE I LOVE THE ACCESS POTENTIALLY OF AN URGENT CARE, I ALSO HAVE TO BALANCE

THAT WITH THE COST OF AN URGENT CARE SETTING, ESPECIALLY TO THE PATIENTS WHO WOULD BE ACCESSING IT. SO FOR ME, IDEALLY AS A PHYSICIAN, GERIATRICIAN, FAMILY PHYSICIAN, IDEALLY EXTENDED HOURS IN A PRIMARY CARE SETTING IS WHAT I ADVOCATE FOR. SURE. OKAY. THANK YOU SO MUCH. YOU WERE TALKING. I'M SO SORRY. YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT APPLYING FOR GRANTS. CORRECT. WHAT WERE THE PARAMETERS FOR THOSE GRANTS? ARE YOU GOING TO EXTEND WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE, OR ARE YOU ADDING TO THE SERVICES THAT YOU OFFER? WE WOULD EXTEND THE HOURS THAT WE HAVE. THE BREADTH OF SERVICES WOULD, WOULD BE, WOULD BE THE CURRENT PRIMARY CARE OR IT DEPENDS ON, YOU KNOW, AGAIN, THE AMOUNT OF GRANT FUNDING THAT WE RECEIVE. SO IF WE HAVE TO ADD ADDITIONAL CLINICIANS, THEN WE LOOK FOR A SKILL SET IN THAT CLINICIAN THAT MEETS THE NEEDS. SO IF YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT A SPORTS INJURY YOU KNOW OBVIOUSLY WE WOULDN'T BE AN ORTHOPEDIC PRACTICE WHERE, YOU KNOW WE'D BE SETTING BONES, BUT IT WOULD BE WE WOULD LOOK FOR WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF PROBLEMS THAT WE EXPECT TO HAVE TO ADDRESS IN THAT TIME, AND WHAT TYPE OF CLINICIAN WOULD HAVE THE SKILL SET TO PROVIDE THOSE SERVICES AT OUR OTHER LOCATIONS WHERE WE HAVE EXTENDED HOURS? IT'S SOMEONE WHO CAN PROVIDE CARE TO BOTH ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS, WHO CAN TAKE CARE OF MORE IF THEY HAVE AN INJURY OR IF THEY HAVE AN ILLNESS ON THE ON THE WEEKENDS. OKAY. THANK YOU. PATIENTS CONSTITUTED ABOUT 75% OF THE MARTIN NORTH DELIVERIES.

THAT HAS THAT AGREEMENT HAS BEEN ENDED, AND WE'VE BEEN MADE AWARE THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO ACCEPT THEM AT TRADITION. SO THAT IS WHY I TALK ABOUT THE NEED TO PARTNER TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN. WHERE CAN THEY GO IF WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SEND THEM TO TRADITION? AND THEN WE HAVE A LOCATION HERE IN MARTIN COUNTY. WE'RE CO-LOCATED IN THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, SO WE TRY TO USE

THAT NETWORK TO SHIFT IN WHATEVER WAY WE CAN TO ACCOMMODATE THE NEEDS OF THE PATIENTS. SO OUR OUR SAINT LUCIE COUNTY CLINICIANS ARE HELPING TO FACILITATE CARE FOR OUR INDIAN TOWN PATIENTS BY HELPING TO ARRANGE FOR THOSE SERVICES. NOW, HOW MUCH THOSE ENTITIES ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE AND WITHIN THEIR OWN SYSTEM, BECAUSE IT'S ANOTHER COUNTY, I DON'T KNOW, BUT AS A AS A FAMILY DOC, AS SOMEONE WHO WAS BORN AND RAISED IN CLEWISTON, FLORIDA, BORN IN THE BEDROOM IN WHICH I GREW UP, DAUGHTER OF A MIGRANT WORKER, GRANDDAUGHTER OF A SHARECROPPER. SO I HAVE A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE THAT RUNS A HOSPITAL UP IN BOSTON, AND SHE TOLD ME, YOU GOT TO FIND A NON FOR PROFIT HOSPITAL TO COME THERE. AND. GREEN CARBON SOLUTIONS WAS THE FIRST PROJECT THAT CAME INTO THE VILLAGE. AND THEY'RE THE ONES WITH THE CHARCOAL HIGH END CHARCOAL THAT THEY CREATE. AND IT'S AN EXCITING PROJECT THAT'S GOING TO GO INTO PHASE TWO AND SUBMIT. WE'VE GOT US ADVANCED TRANSPORTATION, WHICH IS A PROJECT THAT'S JUST COME IN FOR COMPLETENESS REVIEW IN THE LAST WEEK, AND THEY'RE GOING TO BE THE STORAGE OF SOME OF THEIR FLEET OF VEHICLES. KENDALL INDUSTRIAL IS THREE OF THE LOTS.

JUST BROUGHT THAT PROPERTY ARE IN FOR SITE PLAN REVIEW RIGHT NOW AND THEY'RE PEOPLE. I WROTE THAT DOWN ACTUALLY, BECAUSE I ALWAYS BUTCHER WHAT THEY DO PROPULSION PUMPS AND POWER. THEY BASICALLY WORK TO DO WITH THE ROCKETS AND THE DIFFERENT WAY OF ACTUALLY GETTING ROCKETS INTO SPACE. SO FOR INDIAN TOWN, IT'S INCREDIBLE. THEY THEY COULD HAVE GONE ANYWHERE. PROPOSAL TO CREATE A PAID TIME OFF PROGRAM. RATHER THAN OFFER SEPARATE SICK AND ANNUAL LEAVE TIME FOR VILLAGE EMPLOYEES. YES. THANK YOU. I HAD PUT THIS ITEM TOGETHER AS DURING THE HOLIDAYS, AND THE ITEM GETS INTO SOME OF THE DETAIL. BUT WE REALIZE THAT WHEN EMPLOYEES WERE PUTTING IN REQUESTS TO TAKE LEAVE DURING THE HOLIDAYS, THEY WERE PUTTING IN FOR SICK LEAVE INSTEAD OF ANNUAL LEAVE, WHICH FOLKS NORMALLY REFER TO AS VACATION. SO IN DISCUSSING IT WITH OTHER STAFF MEMBERS, AND WE HAD ACTUALLY DONE A SURVEY AMONG THE EMPLOYEES MONTHS AGO TO SEE IF THEY WOULD BE INTERESTED IN MIGRATING FROM A TWO SEPARATE LEAVE BANKS TO ONE LEAVE BANK AND CALLING IT PAID TIME OFF. AND SO I HAVE IN THE ITEM WHAT THEY CURRENTLY ARE ACCRUING FOR SICK LEAVE AND ANNUAL LEAVE. PROBABLY THE BIGGEST DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE TWO, OTHER THAN THE ACCRUAL RATE, IS THE FACT THAT WHEN AN EMPLOYEE SEPARATES FROM THE VILLAGE, THEY GET 100% OF THEIR ANNUAL LEAVE PAID OUT. THEY ONLY GET 50% OF THEIR SICK LEAVE PAID OUT. SO THAT'S WHY IT'S ADVANTAGEOUS FOR AN EMPLOYEE TO PUT IN FOR SICK TIME RATHER THAN ANNUAL LEAVE, EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE NOT NECESSARILY SICK. SO WE JUST THOUGHT THAT IF WE GAVE THE EMPLOYEES MORE FLEXIBILITY. I MEAN, I'VE HEARD VARIOUS COMMENTS THAT THE MAIN CONCERN FROM EMPLOYEES TODAY IS WHAT DOES THIS DO TO THEIR PERSONAL TIME? BECAUSE RIGHT NOW OUR POLICY ALSO ALLOWS FOR TWO UP TO 16 HOURS A YEAR OF PERSONAL TIME THAT IS NOT CARRIED FORWARD. PTO TIME, JUST LIKE YOUR ANNUAL LEAVE CURRENTLY AND YOUR SICK TIME CURRENTLY IS ACCRUED AND CAN BE CARRIED OVER INTO THE FOLLOWING YEARS WITH A CAP. SO AND THEN I'M RECOMMENDING IN HERE THAT THEY BE ALLOWED WHEN THEY LEAVE SEPARATE TO BE COMPENSATED FOR THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT THEY HAVE ACCRUED UP TO THAT CAP OF 400 HOURS. SO IT'S, IT'S A PROGRAM THAT THAT HAS IN TALKING TO OTHERS, IT SEEMS TO GIVE THE EMPLOYEE A LITTLE BIT MORE FLEXIBILITY, BUT IT'S UP TO THE EMPLOYEE TO MANAGE THEIR TIME, WHETHER THEY'RE TAKING SICK OR ANNUAL OR NOT. A LOT OF OTHER CHANGES WERE MADE IN THE ORDINANCE TO IMPLEMENT THAT IN THERE. AND ONE OF THE MANY CHANGES THAT WAS IMPLEMENTED IN THAT WAS A CHANGE FROM A SPECIFICATION THAT THE INDIAN TOWN COMPANY HAD HAD FOR MANY YEARS, FOR DECADES AND DECADES, AND THAT THE VILLAGE HAD FOR THE FIRST COUPLE OF YEARS. THEY HAD THE UTILITY OF DENOMINATING. THEIR WATER IRKS, AND THIS IS ALL VERY TECHNICAL, I RECOGNIZE THAT, BUT I'LL TELL YOU THAT LITTLE ISSUE IT BRINGS UP THEIR EQUIVALENT RESIDENTIAL CONNECTIONS. FOR DECADES THAT HAD BEEN AT 300 GALLONS PER DAY. ALL RIGHT. IN THAT ORDINANCE, IT CHANGED TO 250 GALLONS PER DAY. ALL RIGHT. AN ISSUE, HOWEVER, POPPED UP AS WE WERE DEALING WITH A LOT OF OTHER ISSUES. AS THE COUNCIL KNOWS, THE VILLAGE IS A PARTY TO A NUMBER OF DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS, WATER AND WASTEWATER DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS, A SET OF THEM THAT THEY INHERITED THAT THE VILLAGE INHERITED FROM THE INDIAN TOWN COMPANY. WE ASSUMED ALL THOSE.

AND THEN WE'VE SUBSEQUENTLY ENTERED INTO DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS WITH OUR LARGEST NEW DEVELOPERS IN THE VILLAGE WITH TERRA LAGO AND WITH RIVER OAK. WELL, ALL OF THOSE AGREEMENTS, THE OLD INDIAN TOWN COMPANY ONES AND THE THESE NEW ONES, THEY WERE ALL ADOPTED PRIOR TO THAT CHANGE. THEY WERE ALL ADOPTED WITH THE 300 GALLONS PER DAY DENOMINATION INSTEAD OF THE 250.

SO IT CAME TO BE THAT WHEN I WAS TALKING WITH ONE OF THE ATTORNEYS FOR ONE OF THE DEVELOPERS WITH REGARD TO GETTING ONE OF THE OLD INDIAN TOWN COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS ALL UP AND CURRENT AND SO ON, THE ISSUE CAME UP, HEY, YOU'VE CHANGED YOUR DENOMINATION. THIS IS GOING TO IF IT STAYS THAT WAY, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SOME ISSUES ABOUT RECALCULATING EVERYTHING THEY HAD BACK IN THE PAST. AS AS YOU ARE AWARE, WE'VE HAD A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC EXPRESSED SOME CONCERNS OVER WHETHER OR NOT THIS WOULD BE USEFUL FOR THE VILLAGE OF INDIANTOWN. AND SO I REACHED OUT TO MARTIN COUNTY'S EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR TO ASK HER IF SHE COULD DO A LIST OF HER LISTSERV OF OTHER EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTORS TO SEE WHERE. MOST RECENTLY, WE COULD FIND ANY INFORMATION WHERE ANOTHER ENTITY, ANOTHER GOVERNMENT MUNICIPALITY, HAD GONE THROUGH PUTTING THEIR WARNING SIRENS IN THEIR THEIR MUNICIPALITY, AND THE ONLY ONE THAT POPPED UP WAS THE CITY OF OVIEDO OR OVIEDO. I'M NOT SURE WHICH OVIEDO. AND IT'S IN SEMINOLE COUNTY, AND THEY HAD INSTALLED TEN MECHANICAL SIRENS BACK IN 2008. AT THAT TIME, THE COST WAS ABOUT 175,000. THEY RAN ROUGHLY 17,500 EACH. AND A FEW YEARS AGO THEY NEEDED TO ADD ANOTHER SIREN AT A COST OF $31,000. FOR COMPARISON PURPOSES, THE CITY OF OVIEDO IS ROUGHLY THE SAME SIZE AS THE VILLAGE OF INDIANTOWN AT 15.4MI■S, BUT THEIR POPULATION S 42,000, COMPARED TO THE VILLAGE 6700 ROUGHLY, AND THEY ALSO HAVE 390 EMPLOYEES AND A MILLAGE RATE FOR THEIR TAX BASE. OF THEIR MILLAGE RATE IS 5.3440, COMPARED TO THE VILLAGE'S MILLAGE RATE OF 1.825, AND THEIR TAX BASE IS 3.922 BILLION, COMPARED TO THE VILLAGE'S 2.557 BILLION. AND THEIR FIRE DEPARTMENT, WHICH THEY OWN AND OVERSEES THE SIREN SYSTEM AND DOES ALL THE MONTHLY TESTING AND MONITORING TO ENSURE THAT THE PROGRAM IS FUNCTIONING APPROPRIATELY. IN MY RESEARCH, BECAUSE I'M THE ONLY WARNING SIRENS I'VE EVER HEARD, IT'S NOT EVEN REALLY SIREN IS FOR THE LIGHTNING WHEN I'LL HEAR IT EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE AT A PARK, WHEN THERE'S A STORM COMING THROUGH IN MARTIN COUNTY. BUT THEY CAN REACH A DISTANCE OF ROUGHLY ONE MILE, AND THEY CAN EITHER BE ELECTRICITY BASED OR SOLAR BATTERY OPERATED, AND THEY HAVE TO HAVE THE REGULAR TESTING TO ENSURE THAT THEY'RE WORKING PROPERLY, AND THERE'S NO EXPOSURE OF LIABILITY IF THEY DO. IF THEY AREN'T PERFORMING PROPERLY, THEY HAVE TO BE PROPERLY PLACED. THEY REQUIRE THEY MAY REQUIRE ERECTING SOME POLES OR MECHANISM TO PLACE THEM ON. SO WE'RE REQUESTED TO BRING FORWARD A DISCUSSION ITEM REGARDING WHEN POSTING OF SIGNS SHOULD HAPPEN. RIGHT NOW UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF OUR CODE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, CHAPTER 12, SECTION 12. TWO SIGNS ARE REQUIRED TO BE POSTED ONLY IN RELATION TO MAJOR SITE PLAN APPLICATIONS AND AT LEAST FIVE DAYS PRIOR TO ANY SCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING, AND IT PROVIDES DETAILS OF THE PROJECT, THE TIME AND THE DATE AND THE PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARINGS. SO THERE'S BEEN SOME SUGGESTIONS THAT WE CONSIDER LOOKING AT POSTING OF SIGNS ON ALL DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS, SUCH AS MINOR SITE PLANS, MAJOR SITE PLANS, AND WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IS THAT WOULD HAPPEN NOT DISSIMILAR TO MARTIN COUNTY AND THEIR PROVISIONS IN ARTICLE TEN, WHICH IS WITH THEM.
