WHEREAS ON NATIONAL AGRICULTURE DAY WE RECOGNIZE THE UNIQUE AND IRREPLACEABLE VALUE THAT FARMERS , RANCHERS, FORESTERS, FARM WORKERS AND OTHER AGRICULTURAL STEWARDS HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO OUR NATION'S PAST AND PRESENT. AMERICA'S AGRICULTURE SECTOR SAFEGUARDS OUR NATION'S LANDS THROUGH SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT ENSURES THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ANIMALS, PLANTS AND PEOPLE PROVIDE A SAFE AND ABUNDANT FOOD SUPPLY. AND FACILITATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROSPERITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN RURAL AMERICA. LOCAL FARMERS HELPED TO MEET THEIR COMMUNITIES NEEDS BY SELLING FOOD DIRECTLY TO CONSUMERS. SMALL MEAT PROCESSORS INCREASE THEIR CAPACITY AS DEMAND FOR THEIR SERVICES SKYROCKETED. RESTAURANTS FOUND CREATIVE WAYS TO BRING FOOD TO MEMBERS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES. GROCERS AND GROCERY WORKERS ALSO NAVIGATED NEW MODELS SUCH AS CURBSIDE PICKUP AND ONLINE SALES. AND WHEREAS EACH AMERICAN FARMER FEEDS MORE THAN 100 AND 65 PEOPLE, WHICH IS A DRAMATIC INCREASE FROM 25 PEOPLE IN THE 19 SIXTIES QUITE SIMPLY, AMERICAN AGRICULTURE IS DOING MORE AND DOING IT BETTER. AS THE WORLD POPULATION SOARS. THERE'S EVEN A GREATER DEMAND FOR FOOD AND FIBER PRODUCTION IN THE UNITED STATES. AND OUR SECOND PROCLAMATION THIS EVENING. IT'S FOR WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH. WHICH IS THE MONTH WE'RE IN MARCH OF 2023, WHEREAS WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH BEGAN AS WOMEN'S HISTORY WEEK.

ESTABLISHED BY CONGRESS IN 1981 . IT GREW OUT OF THE FACT THAT WOMEN JUST LIKE MINORITIES FOUND THEMSELVES MOSTLY INVISIBLE IN HISTORY COURSES IN 1987. CONGRESS ESTABLISHED WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH FOR THE PURPOSE TO INCREASE THE CONSCIOUSNESS AND KNOWLEDGE OF WOMEN'S HISTORY AND TO TAKE TIME TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF BOTH NOTABLE AND ORDINARY WOMEN. OTHER PEOPLE THAT WAS HERE WHEN WE ALL THIS STARTED. THE PARKS NEED UPGRADE. 23 YEARS AGO, MY BROTHER WALKED ON THE LOT OF ANTS AND STUFF. THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE BUDGET, THEY SAID. WE NEED VOLLEYBALL STUFF. I HAVE A LOT OF IDEAS. SO IT SEEMS LIKE WE'RE EXPANDING IN ALL THE BEAUTIFUL STUFF IS GOING OUT OF OUR WAY AND OUR IS THE HEART OF INDIAN TOWN. IT'S JUST NOT LOOKING GOOD TO BE HONEST, SO WE NEED OUR PARKS ARE RESURFACED A LOT OF LITTLE STUFF. THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT DON'T GO OUT THERE REALLY DON'T SEE BECAUSE WE'RE SO FASCINATED WITH EVERYTHING NEW THAT'S COMING. BUT MY MAIN CONCERN HAS ALWAYS BEEN AS ONCE WE INCORPORATE IS GOING TO BE A WHOLE MILLION DOLLAR HOMES COMING AND LIKE IT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE WE FORGET ABOUT WHO STARTED THIS WHICH IS US HAVE BEEN HERE 50 YEARS, SO WE SENT US SO I JUST WANT TO MAKE EVERYBODY KNOWS THE COUNCIL.
