ITEM CONSIDERATION OF INTERIM VILLAGE MANAGER. SERVICES. THANK YOU, MADAM MAYOR. THIS ITEM. IS THAT THE REQUEST OF MAYOR GIBBS THOMAS, SHE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR STAFF'S RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING THE SELECTION OF AN INTERIM VILLAGE MANAGER. AT OUR DECEMBER 13TH DEPARTMENT HEAD MEETING WE MET. WE DISCUSSED VARIOUS OPTIONS FOR FILLING THESE SERVICES, INCLUDING PROCURING LOCAL TALENT. CONTRACTING WITH A HEADHUNTER, STAYING INTERNAL OR SOMETHING ELSE. IT WAS UNANIMOUS CONSENSUS OF THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT THAT STAYING INTERNAL OFFERS MANY BENEFITS TO THE VILLAGE. NAMELY MUCH LOWER COSTS, A QUICKER APPOINTMENT TIME FRAME AND LITTLE TO LITTLE TO NO LEARNING CURVE, WHICH WILL ULTIMATELY KEEP THE VILLAGE MOVING FORWARD MORE EFFICIENT, EFFICIENTLY AND QUICKLY. WE HAVE SEVERAL EXTREMELY CAPABLE INTERNAL CANDIDATES THAT COULD FULFILL THIS INTERIM ROLE. AFTER FURTHER DISCUSSION. IT WAS THE CONSENSUS OF THE DIRECTORS TO RECOMMEND THE INTERIM APPOINTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR DEBORAH RESOURCES, THE INTERNAL CANDIDATE. ATTACHED IS HER RESUME. ALTHOUGH SHE IS ONE OF OUR NEWEST DIRECTORS, THE REMAINING DIRECTORS HAVE AGREED THAT THIS WILL BE A TEAM EFFORT AND WILL ASSIST MS RESOURCE WHEREVER NEEDED. OKAY THANK YOU SO MUCH. COUNCIL MANAGER FORM OF GOVERNMENT ABSOLUTELY, MAYOR COUNCIL AND I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU WOULD APOLOGIZE TO THE PUBLIC. UM AND SO, UH, SUSAN OWENS, IT WAS WITHIN HER DISCRETION DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT TO BRING IT UP. DISCUSS IT.

JUST LETTING YOU KNOW IN REGARDS OF IF YOU DON'T YOU DISLIKE SOMEONE OR WHATEVER THE CASE IS, UM, BUT THE TO RESUME IS THAT I REALLY, UM. I WERE A DOCTOR AND I NEED SOMEONE TO REPLACE ME. WHO WOULD I CALL WHAT I CALL A REGISTERED NURSE OR C N A OR WHAT I CALL ANOTHER EXPERIENCED DOCTOR. THIS IS AFFECTING THE LIVELIHOOD OF RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS OWNERS, AND WE CANNOT HAVE SOMEONE NOT EXPERIENCE MANAGING INDIAN. TO AND I'VE HEARD IT.
